I've followed Idol since its very first season, and although I've known in the back of my head that its coming up in Jan, it wasn't until I saw these promos posted by Ryan Seacrest that I got really excited. Yes, super excited at 3.45am on a Sunday!

I love how they've gone back to the basics and highlighted not the bad auditions or the winning moments, but a simple thing like highlighting where the past Idols are from - showing us that they are regular people...who have, by joining American Idol, achieved their dreams.
Plus of course, there's looking forward to seeing how J.Lo and Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler will do as judges. I wonder if this means we'll get to see Liv Tyler appear here and there?
Whatever. Love Idol! This January! Can't wait!
