Congrats & Meet Your Top 13 Singapore!

What a twist! Top 13! Still reeling from what was a crazy unexpected night! Will have to gather my wits about me first before I can do a decent post on what was a crazy Piano Show round.

Congratulations to the 7 that made it through last night!

I'd like to commend group 2 for a great show last night. Perhaps its because they had an extra week to prepare and they got to watch the first group perform and therefore knew what to expect, whatever it is, last night's show was enjoyable.

To the five that didn't make it, I will truly miss you guys, *sob* don't be strangers k? We have facebook, twitter, MSN and good ole email. Don't disappear.

Guys, Idol is not the be all and end all. It may be the end of your Idol journey, but it should not be the end of your musical journey and pursuits. Keep at it, making it to the Top24 means something. Use this short window of 'fame' as best you can and give it a shot. If you don't try you'll never know. And give yourself a pat on the back for making it this far and not keeling over.

So just to end off the post - here's a pic of your Top 13, first group pic ever, twitpicced lastnight at gawd knows what time - my eyes were bleary, was a long day. I left them before 2am, and they weren't even half way through their wardrobe fitting for their 2-day publicity trailer and photo shoot which is happening this Friday/Saturday.

The last thing I heard was Faizal asking me if there was anything to eat cos he was hungry. Then he disappeared into Wardrobe. Hope he found something to eat.

Ok, am rambling. Just a quick breakdown of the Top 13.

IT'S IDOL DAY! The One With All The Vids

Its' Idol Day y'all!

(cue Idol music te ne ne ne ne ne ne ne....)

OMG, today we will know who the other 6 of the Top 12 will be. No pressure Group 2. No pressure at all.

In the spirit of 'No pressure', I'd like to share with you all a couple of vids and pics that were taken during Group 2's Vocal Training last Saturday (mostly of those who were hanging around, waitin' for their turn) and Choreo on Monday.

Its really just vids of the LODIs bein' themselves ie silly.... so sit back, relax, have a laugh...

Jon was a little tired and blur when I recorded this - but he still looks kinda adorable right girls? Aw, give the poor soul a hug and some reassurance.

You're not a noob la... (whatever that is...testament to my age that I have no idea what noob is)

I loved that one of Mae - she is hilarious I tell you.

Next up, Justin decides to be the Idol Behind-The-Scenes reporter. Ahem, pass or fail? LOL!

All funny stuff aside, here are some pretty awesome clips of a Sezairi/Justin showcase. Gabby later takes the guitar over too with Linger (check it out on Youtube if you didn't see it in my earlier post).

Today's D-Day for Group 2. Everyone's due at Mediacorp first thing in the morning and they'll be spending the day there doing run throughs for tonight's show.

I'll be at MediaCorp later this evening to catch up with Group 2, and also Group 1 who will be coming in to support their Idol friends too. Look out for my tweets and twitpics this evening!

Roadshow for Group 2 today!!

Its Saturday! And we all know what that means!

Its IDOL ROADSHOW DAY!

Get ready to meet your 2nd group of 12 from the Top 24 today.

Meet :

Duane, Benjamin, Jonathan, Sezairi, Faizal and Justin.

Where :
Lot One The Shopper's Mall, Choa Chu Kang (next to the CCK MRT station)

5th Floor (woot! rooftop roadshow!!)

When :
3pm - 4pm

TODAY (Saturday, 5th Sept)

Bring your cameras, your friends, your family and check out the next 6 boys and 6 girls who will be performing their behinds off for you next Wednesday.

After that go home and watch the repeat of Piano Show 1 at 5.30pm on Channel 5 (LOL, actually no need, cos you can watch it here!)

Before I go, I felt compelled to post this latest vid of Justin singing Broken Strings. Found it on youtube, recently uploaded....great vocals, got chills, lovin' it jjjap!!!

You did it! You're in the Top 12!

And a great big hug to the other 6, thank you for sharing your Idol journey with us.

Next Wednesday, its time for another nerve-wracking Piano Show....here are your 2nd group of 12 competing for the remaining six places in the Top 12, remember those numbers! Like before, voting starts at 8pm on Wednesday night. Click on their names in the right side bar to access their full profiles!

Each call/sms costs 60 cents.

The second group of 12 will be at their first roadshow this Saturday 5 Sept at Lot One The Shopper's Mall at Choa Chu Kang (its right at CCK MRT station) from 3pm - 4pm. Go show your support!

Group 1 @ Choreo

Get up on the dancefloor!

Its Monday night, 7.30pm.

The first 12 Idol hopefuls are at Training School for their choreo session with Zaki.

Two tasks for tonight :
1. Learn the steps for their group song - MJ's "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'"

2. Work out their steps for their solos.

Here are some vids from today's session...

Actually I felt that they all weren't too bad. Pretty coordinated for what seemed like a pretty complicated routine to me.

Kudos to (Mr) Zaki for his lovely one-liners, and whippin' 'em into shape so quickly.

*Latest update, the choreo session ended at 11pm. Waaay earlier than I expected considering I left at 10pm (thinking it was gonna drag on til at least 1am!)
