12 Days To Go....
OMG how time flies....
It's Tuesday, can't believe it was already a week ago that we bade farewell to super-awesome-contender-for-the-Idol-title Tabitha Nauser. I still say Top 3 go to Grand Finals also can waaat? rite?
Oh well, sigh, bygones. Time to focus on the Finals.
Lets get back to Idol business, sorry its been a bit quiet on the blog. Had guests in town from last week, then hitched a ride back to KL without The Husband, so am effectively single-parenting it amidst the dust bunnies, ventolin inhalers, mosquitoes and sweaty pasar malams here. A bit more settled in last night - but got time got sucked into Twitter (dammit, its crazy! before I knew it ...3am! Had been on Twitter/MSN for 5 hours!). But on the upside, I had an amazing chat with @siproducer on MSN and whoa have I got gossip up the wa-zoooo.... which I will spill when I get the okays ;)
Suffice it to say, the show is gonna be blardee amazing.
seriously. i kid you not. excited just thinking about it again!
I can share with you the medley for the opening number - its I Gotta Feeling-Bad Romance-Boom Boom Pow. :) Nice right? Shan't say anymore cos I'll spoil the surprise, except that its gonna be a spectacle with lots going on.
Ok secret-rundown-for-show aside, here are two vids of Airi and Syl trying out their new song choice 'Crazy' and 'Yellow' respectively at last Thursday's keycheck. Airi also presented his own original composition 'Something Personal' at keycheck, but ultimately the choice was 'Crazy' by Aerosmith.
Yesterday (Monday), the Top 2 got to ride the Singapore Flyer. Their profile shoots were shot there last night (more being shot today at their homes, see below) and both were elated to take the ride into the night sky. Here are some pics, courtesy of @siproducer and @izked.

I personally love going on the Flyer, its so peaceful (unless you get a bunch of chatty tourists - I was stuck with a bunch of Korean ones once, aiyo, could not 'ohm' at all, had to shout to my guests about the whole purpose of Marina Barrage)....and the skyline is beautiful. It really is an awesome ride, I recommend everyone go on it at least once. The Top 2, got to ride it for 3 rounds last night :)
Shots taken by @siproducer whilst st SylSyl's place this morning and Airi's place right now :) (Tuesday afternoon).
What else is up this week with the Top 2?
1. Tonight, they'll be walking the red carpet for the premiere of Avatar (looks like a scary movie dude) at 7pm. At least they get to relax right?
2. They are doing their last radio interviews this week, Airi's on tomorrow at 9am and SylSyl's on on Thursday at 9am. Betcha Dan & Young are gonna miss being idol-invaded every week :)
3. SylSyl's TP Homecoming roadshow is happening tomorrow at 3-4pm.
4. Tons of newspaper interviews to do tomorrow too from Berita Harian to Straits Times bla bla bla.
5. Thursday's all about vocal training in various combos with alums, guest artistes and each other. :) - I almost pengsan-ed (fainted) when I saw the schedule for Thursday - was like a menu for combo meals. Airi + x, Sylvia + y, Airi + Sylvia + abc, def+y+x+ Sylvia only. etc etc. Siao!
6. Friday's reserved for the studio recording of the winner's single. Yep guys, this is it, this will be the recording that will be released to the public when one of them wins. So Friday is D-Day - they gotta focus and NAIL THAT SONG in the studio. Uncle Ken should be back by then to supervise (I'm guessing), since the song's his baby.
7. Saturday is the last day for vocal training plus its Roadshow Day. Mae, Malaque, Nurul, Amira and Justin will be joining the Top 2 at The Heeren (newly revamped and revealed) at 630pm.
8. And from Sunday onwards, its choreo sessions (again, think combo meal menu) all the way to actual live rehearsals at SIS (Singapore Indoor Stadium). WOOT!
Oh, and Sunday is also Roadshow Day. Tabby, Charlie, Faizal, Duane and Farhan (ie Awesome Foursome + Farhan 'Tabby's Alleged Ahem' if you believe Matt the Wubby ;)) will be joining S&S.
Sounds like a packed week? Thats cos it is! I shall leave you to digest all that info now.
Tickets Anyone? Wanna go watch the Finals at Indoor? Simple.
Follow me on Twitter.
I'm giving away 2 pairs of tickets daily from now til the 26th. Contest runs from 12noon to 12midnight every day, just look out for question on twitter and retweet with the answer :)
Easy? You betcha!
Other ticket avenues :
1. Official Blogger Iz also running a contest
2. MediaCorp TV's Watch & Win contest (this one gives you $$$ too so you can pretty yourself up!)
3. Tune in to 987FM, Singapore Idol's Official Radio Station (and their website)
4. Bug the Idols (or their fanclub reps) til they budge on their Twitter/Facebook pages (Top 2 AND the 10 finalists)
5. Bug @siproducer on twitter
What you should NOT do is go to Reception at MediaCorp and ask - cos they won't have any.
Or bug the Channel 5 interns for tickets like @norasyraf <-- poor dude!
Ok, thats all from me for today - rushing off to take the kids for a swim before it pours, can you believe my friend's parents' built a salt-water pool for their newborn grandson? Talk about OTT! But hey, I shall not complain, The Kids and I get to chill in it today! Ah its so nice to be back in KL!

Idol Death Threats?! OMFG.
OMG! Deranged fan wants to assassinate S&S at Jurong Point roadshow.Unbelievable right? Never in a million years would I have ever thought an Idol fan would go to such extreme lengths to express their disgruntledness.
This piece of news has been buzzin' for a while since Wednesday when a crazed fan posted a death threat on Sylvia's and Sezairi's Facebook walls. I only found out on Thursday when I met them for keycheck. Apparently even the 8Days journos knew about the crazy 'Chatterbox' post.
With some help from Farhan, I found them on Sylvia's page. The ones on Airi's pages have been removed. Click to enlarge.
Do the Top 2 need to fear for their lives? I certainly hope not.
Security detail at today's Jurong Point roadshow has been beefed up. I hear that in light of this, the Top 2 won't be able to get too up close and personal with the fans today, just for safety's sake.
I'm not sure if producers have reported this to the authorities, but I believe everyone who's seen this post has 'reported' 'Chatterbox' to Facebook on top of slammin' him/her with comments.
Its unbelievable how 'deranged' (yes @JessicaCalixoxo, this is the most appropriate word for a time like this) some 'fans' can be. This fler's one step crazier than stalkerfans who are mostly harmless and just want to stalk you.
When I first heard about it, my heart thumped a bit harder. A sniper should be easy to spot right? And as long as everyone keeps behind barriers, knives and sharp objects are kept at bay.
Gawd. Thinking about it like that. Heart is thumping again. Security better really be beefed up for certain. To everyone who's reading this and is going to Jurong Point today, help keep a look out for suspicious people. Report them crazy deranged people to the authorities immediately k!
On the flipside, more than likely, this person's just all hot air and empty emotional threats. Understandable, his favourite just got dropped from the competition. *Before I go any further I'd just like to say, before you all go and start 'hatin' on Tabby' again, this is by no means her fault k? One 'unstable' fan is NOT a reflection of the artiste. Tabitha felt awful that someone who claims to be her fan was delirious enough to post something so distasteful on S&S's walls, and hopes all will be safe and well for them today.*
So back to the hot air. After reading the posts a few times, it really does seem more like an immediate emotional outburst borne from anger and loss. And hopefully this person has calmed down by now and isn't still on the rampage to eat babies and poodles. The fact that it was totally Anonymous also probably means that this person still wants to 'protect' their identity and themselves in the event they can't carry out their threats. (Wah, been watching too much Criminal Minds, I am definitely NOT a profiler, so will stop here.)
xoxo, s.
ps. Airi & Syl, bullet proof vests?

Idol fans rock! AMK Roadshow
Welcome to the REAL Moshpit!

As the number of Idols dwindle, the number of fans and volume of screams at roadshows just keep goin' up. Last week's roadshow at Jurong Point was enough to keep your ears ringing for a good half hour after.
Seriously, the moshpit at the show is no mosh compared to this!

This weekend's roadshow at AMK Hub was no different. It started out fairly well-behaved. The audience were obediently sat on the floor, so everyone got a good look at the stage. But by the time the Idols had to leave, everyone was up on their feet and pushing forward.

I was quite worried about one of the barricades collapsing because people were pushing so hard, and right in front were some really young fans. Pushing was usually hardest wherever Faizal was *wink* - looks like we know who our Idol heartthrob is this season :)
But thats not to say the other 4 weren't getting the screams - they all were...check out the following vids.....
Here's Tabby telling us what they've been up to on Saturday....
Next up, just before heading out to 'play some games' with the audience, we find out that Faizal has a crush on Sylvia! Eeeeek! ;) - so cute!
Host Daniel Ong gets some lucky young fans out of the audience and up on stage to play a lil' math game with the Idols :) Lucky kids! Check out the cute lil boy in yellow who's more concerned about collecting autographs from his beloved idols than actually listening to Dan :) so cute! (he was literally trembling ...with excitement I hope!)
And this one was shot on our way out. It took the Idols ages to actually leave because they were so busy signing autographs and taking pics. Lots of luvvin' from the fans :) nice one you guys!
Well its now Monday, remember there ain't no 987FM interview this morning. The Idols are reporting straight to their covershoot with Selebriti magazine. Iz will be with them, so look out for his twitpics/tweets.
Right after their shoot, they'll be headed (all dolled up and dressed to the max) to Temasek Polytechnic for TPrawks! at 12noon, followed by a visit to Nanyang Polytechnic at

Thereafter its back to MediaCorp for wardrobe and imaging for this week's Spectacular - You Asked For It! Hope to catch the Idols tomorrow either at this session or later at their Choreo session :)
Group song this week : "I Gotta Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas! Woot!
"I got a feeling, that tonight's gonna be a good good niiiight wooo hoooo...."
xoxo, s.
ps. Loads more pics of the roadshow at the Official Singapore Idol Facebook page. Check it out!
pps. If you don't know the BEP song...(tsk!)....here you go...vid reference...

Idols Love LEGO :) + Recap + awesome Trailer
Shucks.

Missed the Idols' roadshow at Junction 8 yesterday - heard it was a huge blast! Am so envious of all the folks who went. I just saw the pics - all bright and cheery - posted up on Facebook :) So for those of you who haven't seen the pics here they are - thanks to May and James for putting them up so quickly.

Looks like everyone had a great time at the roadshow :) Can't believe we're down to just 7 (used to be 13! They've almost been halved!
The VERY Adorable Lil Trailer....
Here's the awesome cool trailer for next week's show, featuring Lil Charles, Lil Tabby, Lil Mae, Lil Faizal, Lil Duane, Lil 'Boomz' Sylvia and Lil Sezairi :) CHO CUTE! Kudos to OAP5 for another job well done on the Idol concept trailer!
Don't they all look adorable? So cute right? Don't you just wanna adopt them? For a look at the Idols behind-the-scenes on set, click to my post about the theme here.
And here's a quick recap of last week's performances and results.
Watching the recap I realised something - I had no idea Sylvia was so tall! Or that Malaque was so short! I always had this impression that the girls are all about the same height except for Tabby who's super tall, and Amira and Nurul who were petite. Anyway bygones.
Can't wait for next week! Love the song choices (click here for my post on the song list), looks like its poised to be another interesting show.

Idols for We Are One
Love Lego?
Its Saturday, which means the Idols will be comin' out to meet you at a roadshow. Today's roadshow at Bishan Junction 8, 2 - 3pm, is extra special cos you get to do your part for charity too! This is the 4th charity outing for the Idols (previously PSC, Project Hope, Charity Carwash) how's that for giving back to the community :)
Here's whats gonna be happening today :
Your Top 7 will be competing (friendly wan la), with each other to 'sell' as many lego bricks as possible for the We Are One project. Each Lego brick goes for just $2. Simply purchase one (or more) from a Lego volunteer and drop it in the bin in front of your favourite Idol. The Idol with the most bricks 'wins'. (But actually we all win cos the money raised goes to a good cause :))

All the bricks will then go to Ion Orchard to be part of the Lego structure of Singapore Island. and construction started on Thursday til 17 November. All proceeds of the sale of the Lego bricks go to the Community Chest and the President's Challenge 2009. Check out the We Are One site here for more info on the project itself. Its way cool.
I won't be at today's roadshow, so everyone take loads of pics and post it all up on facebook so I can see what happened ya! And if you can, grab some cool vids too and Youtube 'em!
Hope you all have a great time today and all my love and support to the Idol Top 7.
xoxo, s.
ps. Psst! Look out for Malaque, I heard she'll be at the roadshow today :)
pps. Who else from the Idol alum did you spot at the roadshow today? Tell me here cos I'm kaypoh (and so wish I could've been there).

Idols at Plaza Singapura
Charles can do handstand! Woot!
If you missed today's Idol roadshow at Plaza Singapura, fret not, I managed to record the best part yet! Daniel Ong was the host today, and he played a hilarious game of 'Idol Hands & Feet' with the Idols and some lucky fans. Basically, each team has to place whatever number of hands and feet Dan calls out and do so the quickest to win. Check the vid out.
Didja see Charles do a handstand? TWICE? Hidden talent eh?
Hope you enjoyed it....Iz and I were laughing our heads off watching this!

Project Hope & Another Busy Idol Weekend
Idols not Idle.
Carrie Underwood is coming to town. If you din already know dat, heloo where have you been? She's here for the official opening of Ion Orchard, performing a 45-minute free concert right outside Ion's front door. I saw the bleachers out front this morning - looks to be a massive production :) awesome stuff! Check out a snippet of her press conference from Razor TV.

Its a busy weekend ahead for the Idols as Project Hope rehearsals, a Carrie Underwood concert, vocal training sessions and a roadshow abound.
Carrie Underwood is coming to town. If you din already know dat, heloo where have you been? I saw the bleachers out front this morning - looks to be a massive production :) awesome stuff! Check out a snippet of her press conference from Razor TV.
She also had some advice for the our Idols...
“Everybody asks me what advice I’d give… but, really, I don’t know. I try to think of what would have made my time on Idol a lot easier, and you know what? Whatever is supposed to happen is going to happen.
“You just have to go out there and give it your all. I mean, you’re down to the top nine, so people already love them and they’re voting for them, so just take some chances and leave it all out on the table. Don’t hold back. This is it!”
Interview taken from http://www.carrie-underwood.org/ <-- do check out this amazing Carrie fanblog, very very informative!
So the most successful artiste to come out of the Idol franchise says to take risks eh, lay it all out there and don't hold back! Well, I totally agree. Time to let it all out and go for the gold!
Well as of yesterday, I heard producers were still trying to secure our Idols some access to Carrie, be it to just attend the concert or a backstage pass to meet her. But as of 5 minutes ago, I saw siproducer's tweet 'No go with Carrie.. thank you ION'. Looks like it's not happening :P

But seriously Ion, why la liddat? Howsabout some love for our Idols? Its not every day an Idol alum comes to town right, it would be such a great photo op. Just 5 minutes backstage would do so much to boost our Idols' spirit. Plus, wherever the Idols go, cameras follow and it gets broadcast on the show - extra mileage for a 5 minute backstage pass - good deal no?
I still have hope, the concert's not til 7.30pm tonight, thats like 16 hours away, I have hope, maybe the Ion people will realise that this would totally make 9 young aspiring singers' day.
But if tak jadi, it's okay la Idols, come join me, Iz and Syarif - we can all go together :) Hey maybe we can like cheong the stage and carry a big Idol logo-ed poster and wave at her - aiyo perish the thought - Idols cannot be so groupie and LC! <-- LC =low class LOL!
Roadshow this Sunday, 4pm, Plaza Sing!
k, Carrie Underwood aside, there's the Plaza Singapura roadshow comin' up this weekend. Judging from Gabby's 'most emotional vlog ever' post last weekend, the turn out at Cineleisure sounds like it was less than encouraging?
Well fans, time to get your butt down to PS this weekend and support your Top 9. Clap, cheer, yell and woot as loud as you can k? Don't just save it for the TV Theatre on Wednesdays - bring it outside too. Cos nothing is worse than standing on a stage, all vulnerable and stared at, and not getting a positive response. If you don't woot, at least clap and smile la. Can? Can right? I know you can. Go fans!
Project Hope
Ok, this one deserves its own post, so will stop here and start a new post :)

Idol Roadshow Comin' Up at 4pm!
Stalk Your Idols
(and hope they aren't dressed like this! LOL!)
Wanna meet your Top 11 in person and tell them how fabby-dabby-doo they are or how they make your heart flutter? Or do you just wanna maybe shake their hand and give them a pat on the back?
Well, the Idol Eleven will be at Plaza Singapura is about 90 minutes to meet and greet you, their fans and stalkers!
Plaza Singapura
4pm - 5pm today - be there or be square!
I'll be heading down to Plaza Singapura too for the event, so if you can't make it down, you can follow my tweets/twitpics here :)
next up....
CAPTION THE IDOLS!
Last night my post included the print ad for Asian Feast. But its so small you can hardly see each Idol, so I've cropped and zoomed each one for your viewing pleasure (and laughs cos they all look so cute in their er 'costumes').
Howsabout we caption them? Add your captions to the 'comments' section. Will add them to the post if they're really hilarious! LOL! Mine are just whatever came to mind!

Sylvia : 'Char Siew Bao? Har Gau? Siew Mai? Henessey?' ( I can't decide if she's more chinese restaurant waitress or karaoke lounge waitress! But still so pretty!)
Sezairi : 'Nah, you want my roti prata?'
Nurul : 'Sorry ah (in a very gentle sweet voice), I talk to you later k, gotta go to the paddy field now...'
Malaque : 'You want 2, or 3 huge chillies for your curry ah?'
Farhan : 'My chilli bigger than Malaque's!'
Faizal : 'My Korean cooking is sedaappp!'
Duane joining Iron Chef tournament!
Hi Dato' Charles :) (he looks so 'regal' and important right? Like a Malaysian Dato' !)
Tabby looks like Korean Barbie :) so pretty!

Amira : 'Haiyah! I karate chop up your sushi for you what you want?'
I wasn't there the day they took these pics. It was a 2-day shoot, so I was there on the 2nd day. Can't it to share THOSE pics with you guys - I got some pretty hilarious (and amazing too) stuff!
Anyway, what did you think of the 'ad concept' for this theme?
