With a moniker like C-Murda, you'd be forgiven for thinking you were about to meet a night club bouncer or a big time gangsta rappa. But the young gentleman (and I have to say, this young man is really quite the well-bred softspoken gentleman) who bears this nick is petite and affable - very NOT murderish in any way shape or form lor. By the way, his real name is Charles Lee.
How'd you get the nickname C-Murda (some more the spelling so havoc type!)?
Its a nickname that my first instructor gave me and it just stuck. He told me before that you can't come up with your own nickname, it has to be given to you and this is what he gave me.
So what are your talents?
Dancing. My style is more free-styling, but popping-based. I've been dancing for pretty much 9 years, and have been popping for the last 5 years. Funk styles are pretty big, I do mostly popping and house dances, like Salsa.
Who will you be challenging tonight?
Probably Elvis or Jaiho. I'll probably go with the more physical performers, not so much singers.
Charles, I mean, C-Murda (I feel like I need to have a mic and add 'echo' and a deep voice every time I type that!), was kind enough to show me a few moves in the dark corridor of B5 where the Challengers were hidden away, but let me tell you, it was nowhere near the kind of moves he pulled when he actually got on stage!
