I posted on Wednesday afternoon that I planned to bring my Magic 'Enchanted' Ball to the studio and let Grp 2's 12 contestants as it if they will be going through to the Top 12. (click here to read)

I asked the Ball for each of the 12 contestants before I met up with them, click here to find out what the ball predicted when I asked.

I tweeted/twitpicced when I asked the 12. here's what we got before the show...

Charlene : So it shall be

WRONG!

Amira : Indications say yes

YUP.

Benjamin : very likely

SALAH

Sylvia : You can count on it.

CORRECT (after Sylvia shook it like 6 times and forced it to give her this answer)

Duane : Don't bet on it.

SALAH.

Mae : Stars say no.

WRONG!

Justin : Cannot foretell now.

WHAT A COP OUT BALL!

Jonathan : Absolutely.

ABSOLUTELY SALAH lor.

Sezairi : You can count on it.

YUP.

Gabrielle : Don't bet on it.

YUP.

Samantha : Chances aren't good.

YUP.

Faizal did not participate - pantang lor.

Overall result :

4/12 correct

5/12 wrong

1/12 forced correct answer

1/12 cop out

Suffice it to say, Ball is not coming with me to the next round - so unreliable. pfft!

On a side note, Daniel Ong is quite the clairvoyant/predictor. On Tuesday's interview with the Idols on 987FM, he predicted that 3 out of the 4 that were there that morning would go through. The 4 were Faizal, Sylvia, Amira and Charlene, and the first 3 DID get in.

I took this pic right after he made that prediction. Din even ask them to pose together or anything, they just did. Like, a second after Dan said what he said....

Spooky.

987FM's got loads of ghost stories, Dan has tons cos he used to work the midnight shift ages ago. Eeeee....hair standing as I'm typing this...its 1am and I'm sitting in the corridor in the dark outside my kids' room.

Congrats & Meet Your Top 13 Singapore!

What a twist! Top 13! Still reeling from what was a crazy unexpected night! Will have to gather my wits about me first before I can do a decent post on what was a crazy Piano Show round.

Congratulations to the 7 that made it through last night!

I'd like to commend group 2 for a great show last night. Perhaps its because they had an extra week to prepare and they got to watch the first group perform and therefore knew what to expect, whatever it is, last night's show was enjoyable.

To the five that didn't make it, I will truly miss you guys, *sob* don't be strangers k? We have facebook, twitter, MSN and good ole email. Don't disappear.

Guys, Idol is not the be all and end all. It may be the end of your Idol journey, but it should not be the end of your musical journey and pursuits. Keep at it, making it to the Top24 means something. Use this short window of 'fame' as best you can and give it a shot. If you don't try you'll never know. And give yourself a pat on the back for making it this far and not keeling over.

So just to end off the post - here's a pic of your Top 13, first group pic ever, twitpicced lastnight at gawd knows what time - my eyes were bleary, was a long day. I left them before 2am, and they weren't even half way through their wardrobe fitting for their 2-day publicity trailer and photo shoot which is happening this Friday/Saturday.

The last thing I heard was Faizal asking me if there was anything to eat cos he was hungry. Then he disappeared into Wardrobe. Hope he found something to eat.

Matt is the wubby for Idol. A wubby is the guy who warms up the crowd before the show goes on-air. (You'd think it was Gurms, but its not :) someone else always warms up the crowd first.)

Ok, so now that the vids are up, and its 4pm, I'll be heading up to Caldecott Hill in about 2 hours.

What's my plan today...well today, I'm gonna get the Idols to predict if they're going through or not? How? A super scientific method using a super scientific tool....check out the tool.....

Ta-daaaa, meet my Magic "Enchanted" Ball.

My standard issue Black 8 Ball is in storage, but my new Magic "Enchanted" (as in from the movie, this was a promotional movie premium) Ball works pretty well. I didn't use it last week, I wonder how come I didn't think of it? Tsk!

I asked the ball if tonight would be a good show and it replied "So It Shall Be". Let's hope it got that one right.

Now, let me see what it says about tonight's 12.

Interesting. The ball threw up 6 positives and 6 negatives. Uncanny.

Btw, this is the first time a Ball has asked me to focus and ask again :P so I asked again for Jonathan.

Anyway, let's see how the Ball does when its in the hands of an actual Idol hopeful. I'll be bringing "Enchanted" here with me later on, and will twitpic the results so you know I'm not doctoring it!
