When I first heard of the pairing, I was like, 'huh? really?' I thought Elaine Daly was an actress (currently seen on Channel 5's Silver Lining, but most of her work is in the Malaysian entertainment industry where she's one of the most sought after actresses/models). Producers then told me she has a dance background. Aaah.
And here's a sneak peek at how their rehearsals are going ....
A little bit about Elaine ...
Elaine Daly is not just a pretty face. The girl has smarts. She was the youngest person to have been accepted into a Malaysian law school after graduating high school at just 14! After graduating law school with a degree from the University of London, she decided to dabble in entertainment and has since notched up tons of movie and television credits on her belt (sorry ah, no space here to list all, its really a lot - go google her). She took a break from all that glam for a year to get called to the bar (yes peeps, she's a bonafide lawyer and can 'lawyer you' at any given moment - don't argue with her*), and then came back to the entertainment world.
I'm looking forward to seeing what stunts Luminiq's got planned for Ms Daly. She looks like the type who'll take on any challenge (within reason) and I'm curious to see if there are any backflips off the podium involved ;)
Catch Luminiq Crew and Elaine Daly tear up the One Moment of Glory! stage on Wednesday, 8pm. Watch it live in person at the recording tomorrow, just come down to Mediacorp at 7pm to pick up tickets at reception.
*I actually went to school with Elaine. Small, small world. We were on the prefectorial board together. Elaine has always been driven and 'overachiever' is an understatement when it comes to this girl. Guys drooled, thanks to her gorgeous Eurasian looks (Irish+Portugese+Dutch+Chinese) and girls were in awe of her - she was confident yet friendly and always helpful. One thing's for sure though, you could never win an argument with her - explains the law degree.
