Singapore Char Siew Baos! + Eunice Olsen

They love eating char siew baos!

They should get along jez fine. Oh, and Eunice is an accomplished musician - she's a pianist - just what a band with two guitars and a sax need. Like, I said, they should get along jez fine. 

I was privileged enough to be at their very first meet, and right off the bat, you can tell why everyone loves Eunice - she's friendly, she's humble, she's gorgeous (even sans make up in a tank top and shorts!) and such a good listener. She sat with the band and just listened to them sort themselves out and basically offered to 'follow their lead'. What more could you ask for in a collaborator? She's cool. 

A little bit about Eunice ....

Most of us will remember her as Singapore's Vanna White when she landed the role of letter-turner on Singapore's Wheel of Fortune, who later became the youngest Nominated Member of Parliament. When I hear the name Eunice Olsen, I think see two word 'Causes' and 'Volunteer'. Every time I see her in the media she's always either volunteering to help children or animals, or she's championing a cause be it education, vaccination etc*. She's smart and has a big heart, and she's high profile. Its no wonder that in 2008, Eunice was awarded the prestigious ASEAN Youth Award and even represented Singapore as a Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum. 

But aside from all the volunteering, Eunice is an accomplished pianist who's been at the keys since she was 3. Plus she's a well known entertainment host and actress - most recently seen alongside Adrian Pang in Red Thread (I loved this series! Ch 5 hello? Season 2?)

Anyway, I can't wait to see what song they're gonna perform.

Episode 7 will be recorded on Monday night (just 2 days away), so come on down to TV Theatre - tickets are available at reception just before the show, so come at about 7pm! The show will air just two days later on Wednesday at 8pm.

*Just for the record, Eunice is a goodwill ambassador for Habitat for Humanity (this is such an amazing cause - Brad Pitt helped build houses in New Orleans for the victims of Katrina with HFH), and she champions causes for the environment, youths at risk (I recall listening to her speak about teen pregnancy on radio a few years back), people with disabilities, awareness of cervical cancer and AIDS to name a few.
