Whoops! meant to post this last night but then fell asleep *yawn*....

Did you all get it right? :)
If you answered after watching the show then no fair laaa....

But good try to those who actually tried guessing - I thought it would be easy to guess :)

A little abit about the show. I managed to catch the opening which featured Taufik singing with Maiya, Darren Tan (didja know the Project Superstar winner is also Jon Cheok's BFF!!) and Mathilda d'Silva. Fik was awesome hawt! Loved his new hair and aiya, he's just so cool la. I'm so proud of him - he really has grown as an artiste. You can follow him on twitter (yes he has finally gotten himself online and actively updates his twitter now).

As the show plodded on, showing heartwrenching pic after heartwrenching vid of the typhoon/flood/earthquake victims, I couldn't watch anymore. I made the donation calls, and just concentrated on other things cos it was too heartbreaking to watch.

I was just waiting for the Idols to come on.

When they finally did, The Kids were ecstatic. The Daughter kept shouting 'Mommy Mommy its the Idols! The Idols' and The Son followed suit. I thought their performance (which was sung live by the way, not prerecorded) was not bad. They all looked suitably serious and heartfelt, and sombre (they were in shades of brown and grey), but I was disappointed that there was no banter after their song. They basically sang and thats it. Oh well. Maybe there was more, but I didn't stay till the end of the show cos it was Storytime & Bedtime.

Anyway, good job Idols. Hope you guys got to meet and mingle with your hero Taufik. :)

Oh and kudos too to Suria - I thought they did a great promo job for the show. I saw their trailers and online interviews etc, loads of effort there - so great job to Suria :)

xoxo, s.

ps. I shan't put up the Idols' full pics cos they didn't have make up on, and usually for wardrobe pics (these were taken for styling purposes), they pull ridiculously fugly faces. LOL! So lets keep 'em looking glam and mysterious from the neck down!

  3. Mathilda and another guy wrote the lyrics only. The song is composed by Mahyuni Omar, a Malay songwriter. Well, at least that's what I heard yesterday. Anyway, well done to all 3.

  4. Hey summer!! I wanna point something quite funny out :)

You know your post on taufik a few months back? http://summerr-in-the-shower.blogspot.com/2009/08/singapore-idol-taufik-batisah.html

I went youtube and found this

I was still quite young at that time so never watch SI season 1.

I find it super ironic how uncle ken, as you call him, called his ego "as big as his voice" and now he's his boss.
    SO FUNNY LA!!
    :D
    :D

See what idol does to you? :)
Wonder who's our next, so exciting!!

    Watch 2:45 - 3:00 (ken judging)
Totally emphasises your point during the post about SI season 3 ep 1 (gurmit mimicking the 3 judges and ken scratching himself)

COULD YOU ASK HIM WHY HE DOES THAT? :) :)
